Kingfisher has joined WCS group providing specialist water treatment, safety, testing and regulatory compliance services across the UK. The group provides water treatment, fire, security and air quality services nationally.
Kingfisher Environmental Services (KES) specialises in the management of water quality in commercial and industrial buildings throughout the UK . KES is a member of the Legionella Control Association and our head office address is approved to the ISO 9001 quality standard with the standard applied in our regional offices. KES advises and assists customers on all types of water management issues whether it is on an individual project basis or as part of a continual management programme. In the last 15 years KES has also become one of the UK ‘s leading testers of swimming pools and spas helping both private and public swimming pool operators achieve good water quality within their sites.
The strength and depth of technical expertise within the company is a reflection of the emphasis on staff training and as such our customers have access to advice whenever they need it whether we are on site or in the office. Legionella
The Legionella pneumophila bacteria is a commonly found bacteria in water systems and is the cause of Legionnaires’ disease, a form of pneumonia that is caused by inhaling legionella bacteria and which can be fatal. There are a number of strains of pneumonia related to the legionella bacteria and these are referred to collectively under the term legionellosis.

Our UK wide service has been developed to assist councils, health club chains, stand alone clubs, hotels, schools and health service sites to achieve compliance with the national guidelines set out by BSI & The Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG). These guidelines recommend that pools and spas used by the public be tested for bacteria on a monthly basis.
